Cardio
Each day you need to do 20 to 40 minutes of cardio work. Any of the machines, or swimming, but run at least 3 days a week. Work to increase your time, or increase the distance you go in the same amount of time.
You can break it up into interval work – fartleks, at a track, chase with a running partner.
Plyos – Start with mainly in place type of jumps. double leg hops (rabbits), stars, side to side, front to back, frog hops, tuck jumps, squat hops, slalom.
If you have a stadium DO ‘EM.
Have fun this summer. Mix it up.
Commander and I enjoy Homeschooling boys (Herogian, Hawk and Gluten), raising chickens, ducks, and dogs ( Penny and Casey), eating gluten free, surviving breast cancer, coach track and field, and loving God for every minute that He gives us to cherish our family.

new crafts, birds and room
I was able to get a few more photos downloaded for you. I'm having fun again.
THis is the tv room with the other egress window. That was the wall I put in last year, and they had to redo it. So now it's anchored in.
A slat painting for the bathroom downstairs. I get to have it back. The boys don't like the small bathroom. Yeah.
Another blue sun, smaller for a friends birthday. Will put it together so it has 1/8 " spacings.
Next winters dinners. They eat like cows. From the picture, I realize I need to go fill up the feeder again. No names this time, these are meat birds.

camera and computer reunited
Commander pushed the right buttons and they (camera and computer) work together again. I couldn't get them to cooperate.
So here's a couple of photos of boys and friends. Two of the Smith boys are missing from this picture, but you get the idea of how well they all get along.
Herogian now wears glasses.
Looking from the inside. I like the deep window sill. This is Herogian's room now.

West side of house where the two egress windows went in.
Cold and rainy, but they are in.Looking from the inside. I like the deep window sill. This is Herogian's room now.
Will have more pictures later, now that I can transfer pictures from the camera. Yeah.

Why we have leap year
It's the most logical explanation I've heard .
The other day I was looking for a thank you card. I picked up a single Valentine Day card. It said, "Love makes the world go round."
From across the table, Gluten looked up and spoke very quickly. "Running makes the world go round." THen popped his head back down to where his nose was almost resting on his bowl of cereal.
"WHAT?"
"Running makes the world go round!" he grinned.
"A lot of people are running in the wrong direction."
"That's why we have leap year."
He gave that irristable ear to ear grin.

vasovagal syncope - fainting
We finally got an answer today while doing the tilt table test.
I thought this thing would be a breeze. The nurse said 'you will lie here for 10 minutes and then we will tilt the table up and you will stand, strapped to the table for 30 minutes. If you don't pass out then we will put the table back down, get you a shot of meds through the IV line in my arm and try again.'
They would keep upping the dose of meds until I passed out.
The table rose and all the blood just slid with it. The doctor's assistant came in to stand in front of me, talk and keep me calm as they watched for signs.
"My hands are cold."
He kept talking, telling me how some people's heart will pause and they have to start chest pumping (CPR) to help them get things going again, but that is really rare.
"My hands are getting colder."
"WHat does that mean?" the doctor asked.
"She's having an episode. This is her presign that it's happening," the nurse replied as she wrote down numbers from the monitor.
"Oh, yeah, it is happening. You okay?"
I remember him telling the nurse to get her finger on the button for the table. He put his hands up to press my head back against the table.
The next thing I thought was 'I can't remember what I was thinking about. What is that? It was a ceiling tile and I couldn't figure it out. I felt like I was staring at it, but also felt like I wasn't looking at anything. It was weird.
The doctor had lifted my knees up, I was sweating.
my resting pulse was 55-56. It went to 120 then dropped to 50. blood pressure went from 110/80, to 130/110 to 66/55.
"Yep, you've got vasovagal syncope. Classic."
The doctor was surprised that there were no drugs involved to induce it. The nurse wasn't after I had told her my symptoms.
So, I need to drink more Gatorade/Powerade type drinks to get the potassium and other salts. Eat more salt to help my body increase the fluid volume. I should be able to straighten this out. Now to just get use to driving again and not worrying about it happening. But as the doctor said, "if you feel the symptoms, just pull over."
Why are things easier said then done?
I won't drive the track van this year. I don't need the stress of the responsibility.
Thanks for your prayers over this matter. I'm grateful to God for keeping me/ us safe while having these episodes.
Have a great weekend. Stay safe my Oklahoma friends. The weather is getting rough.

2 step verification
I finally got the 2 step verification with google turned off. I can actually get to EFand B a lot easier now. Yeah.
That 2 step process was really cramping my yakity-yak time.
Here's a quick catch up.
Phone call from a son: Mom, where are you exactly?
Me: Just leaving KMart.
Son: Well, when you get home don't be made if the house smells like smoke. ... At least the fire alarm didn't go off.
Me: Open the windows and air it out.
Son: okay. click.
The kid never says good-bye - we have to work on his phone etiquette.
At least I knew he was watching some brauts simmer on the stove and figured he boiled the pot dry. Yep.
I bought a new IPOD for my birthday, which isn't until June, but oh well, that's me. Hawk likes it that I got a new electronic device. It makes him feel smart when I have to call for help to do something on it. He set it for wi-fi yesterday at campus. Now I can check the weather before we drive to the fields.
Borg-Gluten, whatever name the third one is going by now, decided to put a pass code on my ipod.
Uh, it needs to be one I know.
Oh, yeah! Sorry.
I put a pink cover on the ipod to deter the boys from using it. Two of them have ipods. But, "yours has a camera." I'm afraid to see how many pictures are on the thing now. My camera overfloweth.
The only problem I'm having is that I haven't been able to sinc my music from the computer to the ipod. Will have to get an expert over here to show me how. ANYBODY???
Commander asked to play the games on the IPOD last night while I was reading. When he wanted to go to sleep he asked that I take all the electronics out of the room with me. I gathered up my book, cell phone, house phone, and couldn't find the IPOD. IT was just here!! We searched the blankets, I searched the dresser. OH, it's in my book as the bookmark.
If you haven't read Frank Perretti's new book ILLUSION I highly recommend it. It really pulls you into the characters, I almost cancelled school for the day, just so the boys would leave me alone and let me read. Finished it in two evenings. I'll probably buy a copy of that book to keep as a refresher in writing style. Awesome!
My health has been getting a bit mental. As I've posted before, something makes me woozie while driving. I get the feeling that I'm about to pass out but don't. Tuesday I started some cardio test and will finish them today at the hospital. An electrocardiogram, tilt table test and receive a heart monitor to wear for the weekend. The thing is, I know I need to get out and drive somewhere that I really don't care to drive to, to see if the situation can be recreated. WHat joy! yes, that's sarcasm.
Have a great weekend. I hope to be back here more often now that I can get to the page.
